Manchester City have defeated Middlesbrough 2-0 in the FA Cup quarterfinal at the Wembley Stadium.

Spanish midfielder David Silva scored just three minutes into the game for the Sky Blues from six yards out after Pablo Zabaleta had time and space to cross low from the right.

Middlesbrough goalie produced a number of fine saves but Sergio Aguero scored to double City’s lead in the 67th minute when he converted Leroy Sane's low cross to earn his side a place in the semifinals.
