Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic has extended his stay at Barcelona after signing a new contract with the club.
The Croatian marked his 29th birthday on Friday by signing a new four-year contract. Rakitich moved to Camp Nou in 2014 from Sevilla.
His new deal was agreed in principle on Thursday when Barcelona stated it would contain a buy-out clause of 125 million Euros.
Rakitich emerged at Bazel before moving to Schalke and Sevilla. He scored 23 goals in 145 games and won 2 La Liga titles, 2 Copa del Rey crowns and the Champions League.
