Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has noted that Iran’s growing influence and other nations’ support for the Islamic Republic are the main reasons behind American authorities’ criticism of the Iranian establishment.

In an interview with Press TV on Thursday, Marwa Osman, a journalist and political commentator from Beirut, said, “The US is afraid of a powerful Iran, because they know that if all the situation in the Middle East turns out to be in favor of the Islamic Republic of Iran, then the US will have no more place in the region specifically in the oil-rich [part of the] region.”

The US is against any sort of regional power in the Middle East especially after their Persian Gulf allies lost both political and military control of the region, Osman added.

Urging Washington to change its hostile policies towards the Iranian nation, the analyst said Iran has shown that it is a powerful and influential nation, which has been successful in standing against US pressures since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

On Thursday, Ayatollah Khamenei reacted to the so-called 2016 human rights report by the US Department of State, which questioned the electoral process in Iran.

Osman further appreciated Iran’s Leader, who said for the first time in US history, the American officials are not hiding their real face.

She further noted that the Trump administration is facing “polarization” within the government and they just want to blame other countries like Iran for their problems in the Middle East.
