Champions League: Real overcome Napoli 6-2 on agg

Spanish giants Real Madrid have come from behind to beat Napoli 3-1 in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie to progress to the quarter-finals.

Napoli were the dominant side throughout the first half and deservedly took the lead after 24 minutes when Dries Mertens capitalized on a neat Marek Hamsik through ball to make it 1-0.

But things were totally different in the second half as Los Blancos turned the table on the home side and equalized shortly after the break through Sergio Ramos’s powerful header before Madrid’ captain himself created an own goal about five minutes later.

Alvaro Morata then added another goal for Real in stoppage time to complete a 6-2 aggregate win which sent the Spanish side through to their seventh Champions League quarter-final in a row.
