The US state of California is becoming a hub for driverless technology. Two autonomous buses have started testing around an empty parking lot in San Francisco.
The vehicles are prepared to be used on local public roads without a steering wheel or human operator. The majority of self-driving cars are tested with a person present at a steering wheel, but this time, they were tested with no steering wheel or pedals.
The 12-passenger buses will continue tests for a couple of months before they hit the local roads late this year or early in 2018.
