In the National Hockey League, the visiting Dallas Stars have ended the Washington Capital’s home win streak at 15 games by beating the league leaders 4-2 at the Verizon Center.

Goals by Devin Shore, Radek Faksa and Jason Spezza gave Dallas a commanding 3-0 lead on Monday, but Washington managed to pull two goals back late in the second frame.

Patrick Sharp, who has been playing through an injury, sealed the deal for the stars in the final frame by adding an empty netter to make it 4-2 and hand his side the victory.
