It was a tough test for the Serbian ace, who returned to action this week for the first time since his early exit at the Australian Open in January.

Martin del Potro went on the attack early into the game and took the first set 6-4.

Djokovic however, broke the Argentine twice in the 2nd set, before sending the match to a decider.

Martin del Potro fought for the momentum once again and moved ahead by a break, to close the 7th game in the 3rd set. But, Djokovic claimed the break back immediately before breaking his opponent once more to win the match and reach the quarters where he will face 6th-seeded Nick Kyrgios of Australia.
