Elephant breaks railway barriers in India

This picture taken from the video footage shows the elephant breaking railway crossing barriers in West Bengal.

A video footage has been released which shows an elephant crossing a railway line in India’s West Bengal and has broken down the barriers and trampled the train tracks.

The giant elephant that came from wildlife sanctuary made his way underneath the first barrier to cross the railway, before crushing the second barrier underfoot on the opposite side of the track.

Dead body of a tusker elephant lies on railway track after it was struck by the speeding passenger train.

The wildlife sanctuary is crossed by the railway line and elephants have been killed by trains in several incidents.
