The visiting Washington Capitals have demolished the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 in the NHL with the help of Yevgeny Kuznetsov at the Wells Fargo Center.

Nicklas Backstrom and Yevgeny Kuznetsov both scored in the first period to give the Washington Capitals a comfortable 2-0 lead.

But, Brayden Schenn pulled one back in the second frame for the Flyers after deflecting Brandon Manning's slap shot past the Capitals goaltender.

Kuznetsov, however restored the visitors’ two goal cushion by scoring his 14th goal of the campaign late in the period.

And T.J. Oshie made it 4-1 in the third as Washington snapped a two-game losing streak with the triumph.
