One of world’s most expensive libraries opens in Russia

Book Capella has a number of “thematic rooms,” including on called the Book of Wars and another called the Book of Travels.

One of the world’s most expensive libraries has been opened in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg.

In the gothic-inspired library, visitors can read some of the more than 5,000 carefully selected volumes of Russian authors. The fee for a four-hour reading session is 113 euros.

The high admission fee is justified since all the items in the library are precious. Each volume is hand-made, using expensive paper and leather bindings with gold lettering.
