Lionel Messi has salvaged Barcelona’s La Liga title hopes with a last-gasp strike that saw the Catalans post a hard-fought 2-1 win over Leganes at Camp Nou.
The champions were ahead in the 4th minute when the Argentine superstar made no mistake in netting a cross from Luis Suarez before Unai Lopez fired in the equalizer 20 minutes from time.
But, as the game headed towards a frustrating end for the Catalans, Messi stepped up and did the business in the 90th minute to give his side a crucial win, which saw Barca move within 1 point of leaders Real Madrid who have 2 games in hand.
