In the NHL, the Arizona Coyotes have slumped to a 4-1 home defeat at the hands of the San Jose Sharks.

The Sharks got off to a commanding start and carved out an impressive three-goal cushion, with Brent Burns and Melker Karlsson scoring one each in the opener, coupled with Micheal Haley’s third in the second.

The hosts finally pulled one back in the third period as Martin Hanzal was on target for the 15th time this season, but Burns managed to score his second of the night from the high slot to ensure a 4-1 decisive away win for his side.
