Rotterdam Open: Tsonga beats Cilic to reach semis

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has defeated Marin Cilic in a hard-fought battle to reach the semifinals of the Rotterdam Open.

Top seed Cilic crashed out of the tournament after an inspired Tsonga beat him 7-6, 7-6. Cilic pushed Tsonga all the way, but the Frenchman produced some stunning tennis.

Both sets went to a tie break with Tsonga showing the better form when it mattered and finally managed to wrap up the win to set up a semifinal encounter with Tomas Berdych.

Other semifinalists include David Goffin who beat Grigor Dimitrov and Pierre-Hugues Hebert who stunned Dominic Thiem.
