A five-year-old Australian child begins sheep shearing career early at 5.

A five-year-old Australian child has already chosen his future job since his passion for sheep shearing is obvious.

‘Charlie Dunn’ has been learning to shear since he was two. He began shearing his teddy bears before graduating to his first sheep.

His parents have both worked in shearing sheds and Charlie's keen to follow in their footsteps. His father has also won a few shearing competitions.

His parents say they should shear all their sheep when Charlie is present. They aren't allowed to do it when he's at kindergarten.

Shearing teachers from local technical colleges say there is growing interest from young people who like to join the industry and say there's plenty of money to be made.s
