The visiting Sacramento Kings have posted a narrow 97-96 win over the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center in a showdown full of twists and turns.

The away team got off to a better start and were leading by two points at half time. However, the Kings who never seemed to give up throughout the game, staged a commendable comeback and rallied from 13 points down early in the 4th quarter to restore parity at 91-91.

But, Sacramento managed to hold off a late Lakers’ rally for their fourth successive win. DeMarcus Cousins put on a superb performance as he scored 40 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and made eight assists for the winners, while Lakers guard Lou Williams had 29 points.
