World's oldest surgeon in Russia works at 89
The world's oldest surgeon, who lives in Russia, continues to treat patients at the age of 89.
‘Alla Levushkina’, reportedly began working as a surgeon following her studies in Moscow.
She has worked as an octogenarian surgeon for more than 68 years, during which she conducted more than 10,000 operations.
She says she is proud of her record zero fatalities. "I work and everything. I have nothing to do in retirement. Doctor, it is not just a profession it’s a way of life. Why else would the surgeon live, if not to work?", She said.
‘Alla’ carries out 4 surgeries a day at a hospital near Moscow. She believes her love for all living creatures is the secret of her longevity.
