Maradona becomes new ambassador of FIFA

Argentina legend Diego Maradona has become the new ambassador of the International Federation of Football Association.

The 56-year-old made the announcement in his account on Facebook saying "Finally, I can fulfill one of the lifelong dreams, to work for a clean and transparent FIFA alongside people who really love football."

Maradona who won 91 caps for Argentina led the team to a World Cup title in 19-86. He has also enjoyed a club career with Boca Juniors, Napoli and Barcelona.
