Borussia Dortmund have struggled their way into the quarterfinals of the German Cup by beating a stubborn Hertha Berlin 3-2 on penalties at the Signal Iduna Park.

27 minutes into the match and the visitors got themselves ahead through Salomon Kalou.

The Ivory Coast international received a great cross from his teammate and blasted the ball into the roof of the net to make it 1-0.

But Marco Reus grabbed an equalizer for the host only 2 minutes after the break to put his team back on track.

And from then on there were no sign of goals as both team finished 1-all in regular time.
