New educational toys promoted at London Toy Fair

This year’s London Toy Fair is paying special attention to science toys ranging from kitchen chemistry labs to robots that teach programming.

The games mentally stimulate the next generation of mathematicians, engineers and scientists by letting them explore how things work in a fun way.

Organizers of the 3-day event predict a strong performance in the toy industry for the year 2017. They also consider science, technology, engineering and math toys as one of the areas tipped to be on trend.

Despite the promising developments in the so-called STEM games, analysts think more efforts are still needed to make them fun enough for the mainstream market.

In addition to high-tech games, London Toy Fair is also attempting to promote the public’s appreciation for simple tactile toys that are fundamental in children’s development.
