Poverty grown exponentially in Italy since 2007 crisis

The number of Italians living in absolute poverty has grown by 155 percent since the beginning of the crisis in 2007. Today, the basic needs for food, clothing, and shelter of over 4.5 million Italians cannot be met. The Italian bishops’ conference has recently denounced the situation.
