Spectacular icicles decorate Hukou Waterfall in China

Magnificent icicles decorate Hukou Waterfall in north China as temperatures plummet.

The recent ongoing snap in China’s northern ‘Shanxi’ province has created spectacular icicles at ‘Hukou’ Waterfall.

Locals and tourists have flocked to see the stunning views after the waterfall’s banks became totally frozen. The waterfall is considered as the largest on the yellow river.

Meanwhile, the sunshine has hit vapor hanging in the air, creating a sparkling rainbow over the falls. All of the icicles are shaped as a result of the mist from the waterfall freezing into place as soon as they settle along the banks. Officials say as the area has entered the ice flood season, more icicles are expected.
