Catalan Giants Barcelona have earned a comfortable 5-nil victory over visiting Las Palmas, to cut the gap with leaders Real Madrid to two points!

The hosts dominated the match on Saturday and took the lead after just 15 minutes, through Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez.

Messi, who had scored in all the past 6 competitive games, got on the board in the 52nd minute through a simple shot from close range on a rebound.

5 minutes later, Suarez scored his 2nd by curling-in a pass from Rafinya to make it 3-nil. Just two minutes later, the Uruguayan set up Arda Turan who made it 4-nil, before Aleix Vidal's 1st goal for the club rounded off the scoring in the 80th minute. Barca are now 2nd in the standings, 2 points behind Real Madrid, who have played 2 games fewer.
