A Chinese factory is producing huge inflatable roosters resembling US President-elect Donald Trump, ahead of the Lunar New Year.

The company has started producing inflatable replicas of a statue installed by a shopping mall to celebrate the upcoming Year of the Rooster in the Chinese lunar calendar. The sculpture had recently gained a lot of attention on social media for its close resemblance to Donald Trump.

Much like the original, the produced inflatables have been compared to Trump for bearing the similar hairdo and hand gestures.

The factory’s managers say their product’s likeness to Trump is pure coincidence. But many, including the statue’s designers seem to have different interpretations of what it could mean.

Regardless of the meaning behind it, the design has become a popular symbolic mascot for the lunar New Year and the company producing the inflatables is receiving plenty of orders as the event gets closer.
