Adelaide United have defeated Melbourne City 2-1 in the Australian A-League at Coopers Stadium.

Reigning champions Adelaide United have won their 2nd game of the season in the Australian A-League, posting a 2-1 victory over visiting Melbourne City at Coopers Stadium.

The visitors were put ahead as early as the 4th minute, thanks to Bruno Fornaroli who scored his 11th goal of the season to give Melbourne City an early lead.

The home crowd didn't have to wait more than 6 minutes to see their side level the score, when Dylan McGowan headed-in from a right-side free kick.

3 minutes from time Mark Ochieng struck the winner in spectacular fashion to help his side pick up all three points. Following the win, Adelaide United have moved off the bottom of the A-League table thanks to better goal difference than Central Coast Mariners.
