Ahead of the lunar New Year, to usher in the Year of the Rooster, some feathered friends at a zoo in Singapore are enjoying the festivities.
One lucky rooster at the zoo is given extra helpings of meal-worms. The bird park's rooster, called a red jungle fowl, eats the creepy-crawlies in his birdcage decorated with colorful Chinese banners.
Zookeepers say meal-worms added to traditional cakes made of rice will be served to the rooster as well as his pheasant and chicken relatives from January 28th to 30th. January 28th will mark the start of the Year of the Rooster.
