World No.1 Andy Murray has booked his spot in the semi-finals of the Qatar Open, after enjoying a straight sets victory over Nicolas Almagro.
The Scot was broken in the first game of the opening set, but clawed his way back to claim the tie-break.
Both players traded breaks of serve in the second, before Murray’s experience and class prevailed, as the top seed secured a 7-6, 7-5 victory, extending his unbeaten streak to 27 matches.
Murray will meet third seed Tomas Berdych in the semis and, if he progresses, the Brit could face Novak Djokovic in Saturday's final.
