A wounded baby elephant in Thailand has received water-based treatment for injured foot.
The 5-month-old ‘Fah Jam’ was caught in a trap set by villagers in November. Her front paw was injured. She was taken to an animal hospital. Now, she is receiving hydro-therapy.
‘Fah Jam’ is the first elephant to take this type of treatment. Vets say she is showing signs of improvement following rounds of water-based exercises.
The treatment, which aims to ensure she won’t have to rely on a prosthetic leg, could take up to two months.
