Indian restaurant bills customers by minute

Customers are charged just 20 cents per minute for the buffet, which includes a diverse range of cuisine including Italian, Indian and Chinese food.

A restaurant southwest of New Delhi has launched an all you can eat buffet system wherein customers pay for the time spent eating the food, rather than the food that they order.

The ‘Time Buffet’ allows customers to eat as much as they want, and they are charged only for the time they spend over their meal. Customers are charged just 20 cents per minute for the buffet, which includes a diverse range of cuisine including Italian, Indian and Chinese food. The promotion is available on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The manager of the restaurant says the deal has been well received and is particularly popular with young people.
