The foreign ministers of Russia, Iran and Turkey took part in a session to discuss regional developments especially the situation in Syria's Aleppo. But the murder of the Russian ambassador to Ankara brought changes in the session. Sergei Lavrov and his counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu laid flowers to the portrait of Andrew Karlov. Lavrov said if the killing was meant to derail cooperation between Russia and Turkey it failed to do so.
