Serie A leaders Juventus beat AS Roma 1-nil, thanks to a trademark goal from Gonzalo Higuain.

The Argentine scored his 10th goal of the season in the 14th minute of the match to give the Old Lady their 25th straight home victory in the league.

Roma, who enjoyed long spells of possession, failed to produce real chances during the tense encounter. The victory put Juventus seven points clear of Roma at the top of the standings with one match to go before the Christmas break.
