A rare Malayan tiger cub from an endangered species has delighted visitors at a Florida zoo with its debut appearance.
After spending the first 3 months of her life in an enclosed den with her mother, the baby tigress named 'Berisi' made its first appearance at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo.
Berisi is an only child and is the first of her kind born at the zoo. The cub who weighs slightly less than 3 kilograms and is in good health, spent her first outing playfully wrestling with her mother Bzui.
The cub and her mother are reportedly part of the zoo's participation in the Species Survival Plan.
There are currently only about 250 Malayan tigers left in the world and the species has been classified as critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature since 2015.
