Brazil FA flags half-mast in honor of Chapecoense football team

The Brazilian Football Association have flown their flags at half-mast at their headquarters as a mark of respect for the victims of a plane crash in Colombia, cancelling all football matches for a week.

Brazilian football team, Chapecoense were aboard the aircraft that crashed in the city of Medellin, with 81 people on board including 22 players from the team.

At least six people, including three players of the team survived the crash. The Club were travelling to Medellin to face Atletico Nacional in the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana final on Wednesday.

It was the first time the small club had reached the final of a major South American club competition.
