Pomegranates from Iran’s Saveh

Persian pomegranate from Saveh

These are some of the stories covered in this episode of IRAN program:

Pomegranates, Saveh:

Pomegranates are indigenous to basically the Middle East; especially, Iran. Like the land they originate from, pomegranates have a rich history of cultivation in addition to rich nutritious values. But that is not all, the intricate arrangement and juicy red color of pomegranate seeds has them symbolically referred to as nature’s rubies.

Tuyserkan:

One of the beauties of living in a country with an ancient history is the never-ending stories the land narrates. In Iran, sometimes you can find traces of antiquity in the middle of big cities, far into deserts, or even among the culture of people you randomly greet. Golnar Farnoodi will show you a bit of that on her journey to Hamedan.

Mazandaran (II):

On previous editions of the Iran Program, Ali Rashid showed you the exotic nature of Mazandaran. Now, let’s see how the locals in Mazandaran have made use of the blissful nature of their land.
