Spanish giants Real Madrid have extended their lead at the top of the La Liga standings after defeating Leganes 3-nil at the Santiago Bernabeu.
38 minutes into the match and Real took the lead through Gareth Bale. The Welsh player, who signed a new six-year contract last week, rounded the keeper to score from close range, making it 1-nil.
Bale then doubled Real’s advantage by scoring his second goal of the match just seconds before half-time.
Alvaro Morata completed the victory for Los Blancos after the break with an impressive finish in the closing stages as Zinedine Zidane's side stay as the only team still unbeaten in the Spanish top flight.
