Melania Trump defends husband after his affair is leaked

GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump is “giving and loving," says his wife, Melania, following reports of his affair with a Playmate in 2006.

Revelations about an affair with a Playboy magazine’s model were initially being withheld by the American supermarket tabloid National Enquirer, according to a Friday report by the Wall Street Journal.

The Enquirer, which has endorsed Trump for president, allegedly paid model Karen McDougal $150,000 for her story about the affair.

During a campaign stop in North Carolina, Melania Trump defended her husband, saying, "Donald is a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He's strong; he's determined, bold and decisive. He's also compassionate, thoughtful, giving and loving."

"Donald cares so deeply about this country he could no longer sit by and allow American jobs to be lost and Americans to become less and less safe. Once given the opportunity, Donald will make America great again," added the former model.

Trump previously came under pressure, even by top GOPers, over bragging about sexual assault in a 2005 recording.

New revelations about an affair with McDougal followed earlier ones about Trump’s affair with Marla Maples, when he was married to his first wife, Ivana (pictured below).
