Nearly a week after US Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and her Republican rival Donald Trump clashed during the second presidential debate, the November election is overshadowed by a range of issues excluding real politics.

Yemen

The Saudi-led coalition says an airstrike that killed over 140 Yemenis in Sana'a last Saturday was conducted based on what it said was wrong information. Several human rights groups have condemned the attack as an apparent war crime, however.

UNESCO condemns Israel

The UN cultural body, UNESCO, has condemned Israel’s escalating aggression regarding the al-Aqsa Mosque, which is the third holiest site for the Muslims of the world. A resolution ratified by UNESCO denied the importance of the site to Israelis by referring to it by its Islamic name.
