Skydivers attend base jumping event in Malaysia

More than 100 skydivers from 20 countries have thrown themselves off the 300m tall Kuala Lumpur Tower in Malaysia for an annual base jumping event.

More than 100 skydivers from around the world have thrown themselves off a 300m Malaysian tower for an annual base jumping event.

The skydivers make 300-meter jumps from the Kuala Lumpur Tower over a three-day period. The tower is the seventh-highest one in the world.

Base jumping includes jumping with a parachute or wingsuit from fixed objects, like a building, antenna, span and earth structure such as a cliff.

Organizers say participants must meet requirements for experience to attend the event. They have to have jumped for a minimum of two years and have accomplished a total of 120 jumps including at least 20 in the past year.
