India ratifies Paris climate change agreement

India, the world’s third largest emitter of greenhouse gases has formally approved the Paris agreement on tackling climate change. The deal aims to slash greenhouse gas emissions by shifting away from fossil fuels. The Paris agreement was adopted by 185 nations in December 2015.
