Kashmiris gearing up to observe holy month of Muharram

The first month of the Islamic lunar calendar, Muharram is around the corner. People in Indian-controlled Kashmir are preparing to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, the third Shia Imam, by holding mourning processions. This year, Muharram comes amid curfew and clashes that have left scores of people dead in the region.
