Israel seeks to ethnically cleanse Mideast: Activist

Press TV has conducted an interview with Paul Larudee, co-founder of the Free Palestine Movement, to discuss the Tel Aviv regime’s expropriation of Palestinian territories and expansion of illegal settlements across the occupied West Bank.

Here is a rough transcription of the interview:

Press TV: Why is it that Tel Aviv strikes down any government or world body or rights group which disapproves its illegal and inhumane treatment of Palestinians, that is, instead of listening to what they are saying and to steal a quote from my father, ‘Can it be that everyone is wrong but you’?

Larudee: I think you hit the point there. The point is that Israel is very busy these days. They cannot receive visitors and especially visitors who might disturb the busy and intensive work that they are involved in. Their project is genocide and why they should invite people who are going to interrupt this important work?

They want to complete a genocide here and they have already said, I mean Netanyahu has basically said that if you do not support our genocide you are anti-Semitic. So this is what it is all about.

Some people think that the Israelis want peace. There is no benefit to peace for Israel. War - well you do not call it war but let’s say genocide - genocide is very advantageous to them. It sells arms that have been tested on victims, it rallies the Israeli people around their government, it makes the US people and government think that Israel is a valuable ally to protect their interests in the Middle East because they are so powerful and can control their way around, all kinds of war and destruction and killing and genocide is all very profitable and very beneficial to Israel. Why would it change?

Press TV: Voices of concern, they seem to be increasing more and more against Tel Aviv’s practice towards Palestinians, but there still seems to be no light at the end of this tunnel because whenever there is a collective effort to reprimand Tel Aviv, we see Washington use its veto power to bail it out. Do you think what will it take to finally see a change for the better coming out of Israel with respect to the Palestinians?

Larudee: I would say very powerful hearing aids would help because Israel is deaf to anything that any other government will say or any person will say. They do not listen to any sort of noise, sweet words, condemning words, pronouncements and criticism, all this means nothing to them. It does not hurt them in the least.

They are able to do what they want to do and they can twist minds and media and all this sort of thing. They have all of this at their disposal. Why would they bother to worry about such things? They put a cosmetic cover on some of what they do and they protest and the world says no you are wrong and all this, they do not care.

They have a job to do and that is to ethnically cleanse as much of the Middle East as possible. Right now they are concentrating on Palestine and a part of Syria but they have attempted to do it in Lebanon as well and in Egypt.

So we can expect at some point in the future when they finish or maybe even before they finish the ethnic cleansing of Palestine they will work on adjacent areas as well. This is their project. It has been their project for more than a hundred years.
