The September 11, 2001 attacks were part of a carefully designed plan by the United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia to destabilize the Middle East and push forward a Zionist-Wahhabi agenda, says a counter-terrorism analyst.
Scott Bennett, a former US Army psychological warfare officer based in San Francisco, made the comments while discussing the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.
“The 9/11 attacks are really best explained as a story within a story within a story,” Bennett told Press TV on Sunday. “It is enormously complex, but at the same time quite simple.”
The analyst said to better understand what happened on the day of the attacks one needs to tackle the incident from three aspects of evidence, perpetrators and the results.
Looking at the evidence accumulated over the past 15 years, it becomes clear that the government’s account of the attacks has been proven false, the analyst said.
Internal nuclear detonations in the Twin Towers, reports of spotting airplanes with the exact same numbers as those that allegedly crashed into the towers after the attack, lack of plane debris at the Ground Zero and the “miraculous” destruction of “Building 7” were some of the theories that Bennett said were credible based on the available evidence.
Bennett said the Israeli regime’s spy agency, Mossad, has been one of the main suspects of coordinating the attacks.
“The 9/11 attack really was the setting off of the fuse that the Israeli Zionist neoconservatives in Washington… and the Saudi Arabian regime were planning; a US, CIA, Mossad, Wahhabist agenda to destabilize nations in the Middle East,” he explained.
“The United States used this event to invade Afghanistan, and destabilize and take it over, as well as the opium poppy fields,” Bennett said.
“Additionally, the United States invented a completely fraudulent war in Iraq, based on weapons of mass destruction,” he added.
Libya, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon have been some of the other Middle Eastern countries that the US has sought to destabilize in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, the counter-terrorism analyst further argued.
“So, we see a pattern that this fraudulent attack on 9/11 has created the bogeyman, the specter, the monster, that Americans have been bled dry in their tax dollars to fund in a massive military-industrial complex project, ” Bennett said.
