As over 1.8 million Muslims are observing Hajj ceremonies in the holy city of Mecca, hundreds of thousands of others including Iranians who were banned or were unable to attend the pilgrimage have flocked to the shrine of the 3rd Shia Imam, Hussein ibn Ali, in Iraq's city of Karbala. They pay tribute to the Imam who was forced to leave his Hajj unfinished as the tyrannical forces of his time were trying to make him obey them.
