12-year-old Indonesian boy attends university in Canada

Cendikiawan (Diki) Suryaatmadja, the 12-year-old Indonesian boy who will start university classes in Canada.

 A 12-year-old Indonesian boy is getting ready like his peers for the new school year. But instead of going to school, he is going to study physics in a university.

‘Diki Suryaatmadja’ has been admitted to the University of Waterloo in the Canadian province of Ontario. The genius boy applied to study in the university after fast-tracking through school in his own country Indonesia.

He has learned English himself, only in six months by reading movies’ subtitles and reading English articles.

University officials say ‘Diki’ is the youngest student in the university's history. They also say the boy will study physics and take additional classes in math, chemistry and economics.
