Russia unveiled underwater unique aquarium in the Russky Island.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has unveiled the ‘Primorsky Aquarium’ in the Russky Island.

Japanese Prime minister and South Korean president also attended the event. Putin says he hopes the aquarium will become another place for international cooperation.

According to the Russian president, the aquarium is not only a commercial object but also a center that can combine scientific research, education, and awareness.

Japan has already announced it might provide penguins for the center. Around 500 types of sea and fresh-water animals will be on show at the aquarium. Officials say the public will be able to visit the unique facility from September 6th.
