Iran's scientific breakthroughs

Iran has made major breakthrough in many scientific areas such as nano-technology, biotechnology, stem cell, genetic engineering, Aerospace sciences and Medicine, etc.

Based on the data published by the website, “Web of Science”, affiliated with the Thomson Reuters Corporation, the Iranian share of science production in 2016, has been 1.8%. This means Iran, with less than 1% of the global population, has still managed to contribute to world scientific progress by close to 2%.

The history of Iranian efforts in the realm of scientific investigation and development dates back to over a millennium.
