US election rigged against Trump: Analyst

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) will likely contribute to the rigging of the votes for Hillary Clinton in the upcoming November election, and the mainstream media will cover it up for her, an American political analyst and activist says.

Myles Hoenig, a Green Party candidate for Congress, told Press TV on Tuesday that the election is rigged against Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

In a new fundraising email surfaced on Monday, Trump accused the mainstream American media of “trying to rig this election.”

In the email, the billionaire businessman asks 30 questions about the “dishonest media”, and then at the end appeals people to make donations to his campaign.

Hoenig said Trump does not have very good credibility but “sometimes he says something that either has a grain of truth to it, or dead on accurate. In those cases, people, especially the media and Democrats, hound in on it as if it were spoken by a madman.”

“His claim that Obama and Clinton founded ISIS may be simply hyperbolic, but there is ample evidence that they were instrumental in its rise, its funding, and its arming,” he said, referring to the Daesh terrorist group in Iraq and Syria.

“CNN, sometimes referred to as Clinton Network News, is notorious for its bias towards Clinton. When Clinton blatantly lied about being truthful with the FBI, the Washington Post pointed it but CNN ignored it. When her campaign manager, Robby Mook, claimed that ‘experts’ have said the Russians were behind the DNC leak, Jack Tapper of CNN would not follow up on who the ‘experts’ were. Yet Tapper also condemned the ‘sycophantic’ media for asking her softball questions and not holding the same standards for her as they do for Trump,” he explained.

“We see how the media so quickly succumbed to the Clinton narrative that the Russians hacked the DNC that proved how the election was rigged for her. What we don’t see or hear from main stream media is the very issue of the fact that the election was rigged. It’s blaming an imaginary messenger for a crime against a democratic institution, such as voting,” the activist continued.

“Back to CNN, when Trump made his first most prominent racist rant about Mexicans coming in to the US to rape and murder, this network reported that Trump said all Mexicans did this. It’s a fine line, of course, but a real journalist would not make such a leap away from accuracy," he said. 

"Trump called for a wall between our two countries yet the media is silent to Clinton voting for a fence between us. And that fence isn’t a white picket fence either! One blabbers and the other acts but it’s the blabber that gets the coverage,” the analyst explained.

“Finally, we have the Clinton Foundation, which is under investigation for fraud and bribery. With 96% of contributions going back to the Clintons, not charity, we see a large number of media organizations and individuals donating. Carlos Slim (largest shareholder of the New York Times), Murdoch, Newsmax Media, Thomas Reuters have all given between $1-5 million and the list of others given is extensive,” he stated.

“It would be the DNC that will likely contribute to rigging the voting booths for Clinton but it’s the media that will cover it up for her,” the commentator concluded.
