UK police under fire for training Bahraini forces

Here is a round-up of global news developments:

An international charity group has confirmed the death of 10 children in a Saudi air raid on a school in Yemen. Doctors Without Borders says over 20 children were also injured in the attack in Sa’ada province. All of the victims were between 8, 15 years old.
British lawmakers have criticized UK police for training Bahraini forces. The lawmakers have also slammed the foreign office for not revealing the details of the contract signed between Manama and London in 2015. Bahraini regime forces have used heavy handed tactics against protesters.
A report by a charity group has harshly criticized Israel for not lifting its crippling siege on the Gaza Strip. The Popular Committee against Siege says the blockade is hampering efforts to rebuild Gaza. Some 50 percent of the buildings destroyed in Israel's last war in 2014 still need to be reconstructed.
Fresh fighting flares up in South Sudan between the forces of President Salva Kiir and those loyal to rebel leader Riek Machar southwest of the capital Juba. The clashes have left at least three people, including two civilians, dead. The two sides blame each other for triggering the violence.
The Democratic Republic of Congo's army says it has found bodies of 30 civilians massacred in the east of the country near the border with Uganda. The army blamed the massacre on the anti-government militants of the Allied Democratic Forces. The militant group has been operating in eastern Congo since the 1990s.
A Muslim cleric and his associate have been shot dead in broad daylight in the US city of New York. Police say there’s no evidence to suggest that they were killed because of their faith. Muslim representatives have slammed the killings as a hate crime.
At least 3 people have been killed in mass floods in southern United States. Authorities in Louisiana have declared a state of emergency and evacuated over 1000 people. Torrential rains have also battered Mississippi and Texas.
Charity groups say many refugee children have been sexually abused in government-run camps in Greece. UN rights officials have raised the issue with Greek authorities. Greece is one of the main entries for refugees who flee war and poverty and try to make it to Europe.
