Rodney Shakespeare: Saudi Arabia poisonous fountain of evil behind rise of Daesh

Press TV has conducted an interview with Rodney Shakespeare, a political commentator from London, to discuss an announcement by Iran's Intelligence Ministry regarding the identification of 102 members of a terrorist group in the western province of Kordestan.

The following is a rough transcription of the interview.

Press TV: Mr. Shakespeare tell us about your thoughts on the recent announcement of Iran’s Intelligence Ministry?

Shakespeare: Iran and Russia and Syria are the only touches who unequivocally are engaged in strong clear action against Daesh and ISIL, against the Takfiri and no other countries are doing this. All the other countries are ambivalent or they are hand in glove with the Daesh and the Takfiri.

Take my own country. We support Saudi Arabia and the Takfiri ideology is the same thing as Wahhabi ideology. It is supported and promoted by the Saudi Arabia regime. I sometimes think that I am the only person to point out that we have to destroy the source, the poisonous fountain of evil, which lies behind the Takfiri ideology and I would remind you that once in this world you allow an ideology which says that God supports the murdering of other people, that all the raving nutcases including right wingers and racists and the rest of them they stop killing as well.

Iran has a clear policy and Russia and Syria, not my country, not the USA, most certainly not Israel and most certainly not Saudi Arabia. Congratulations to Iran. You're giving us a lead in a world which is dominated by the Zionist, American and British support for Takfiri ISIL and I'm ashamed to be sitting here in London which is actually supporting Daesh and ISIL.

Press TV: Mr. Shakespeare given the situation surrounding Iran, so many countries so deeply engulfed in insecurity and battling terrorism, Iran has done a pretty good job in securing its borders. Hasn’t it?

Shakespeare: Iran is surrounded by countries who have devoted their policy to promoting ISIL as a means of achieving their aims. The one country with integrity in the Middle East and perhaps the only country with integrity in the Middle East is Iran and the Americans have got all their ships, all their bases and everybody surrounding it. We are fed up with the Zionist, American aggressions using Daesh, we are fed up with the Saudis deliberately promoting sectarian war in Islam, we're fed up with the support for evil e.g. this morning I read the Daily Telegraph, you can read The Gaurdian, read the Times, you read any UK newspapers and they end up attacking Iran, attacking Syria, attacking Russia and in practice supporting Daesh and ISIL. Those newspapers are evil. My government is evil. America is evil and Saudi Arabia is evil for their support of Daesh and ISIL.
