Swansea city have rejected a £10m bid from Premier League rivals Everton for central defender Ashley Williams.
A Swansea spokesman said they are not willing to sell their central defender as he is an important part of the squad and, therefore, will turn down the offer currently on the table.
Williams, who turns 32 later this month, is on a contract at the Liberty Stadium until 2018. He reached the Euro 2016 semifinals with Wales earlier this summer and has made about 350 appearances for the Swans since joining from Stockport back in 2008.
He is also regarded as one of the best defenders in the Premier League.
