Nusrah Front attempts a change of colors

The notorious terrorist group known as the Nusrah Front has broken from al-Qaeda. This was announced by the group’s leader Abu Mohammad al-Jolani in a video aired by the Qatari news channel al-Jazeera.

A decades-old problem

The situation in the Indian-controlled Kashmir is still volatile. The region has been the scene of protests against a fresh wave of violence that has already left over 60 killed and many wounded over the past month.

Taliban territorial loss

“The area under Afghan government control or influence has decreased to 65.6 percent by the end of May from 70.5 percent near the end of January in 2016.” That's according to the Special Inspector General for Reconstruction (SIGAR) for Afghanistan.
